Meet our Principal Heather Hollenback

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Hello, my name is Heather Hollenbeck and I am grateful for the opportunity to introduce myself as the next principal of Stoneleigh Elementary School. I live in White Marsh with my husband and two children, Austin (12) and Cora (7). I am eager to be a full-time member of the Stoneleigh Elementary community.

I bring twenty-one years of educational experience to Stoneleigh; from kindergarten to sixth grade, I focused on language arts, leadership, and administration. During my nineteen years with Baltimore County Public Schools I have enjoyed servicing each of the geographic areas of the county as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, reading coach, resource teacher or administrator. The last four years, I have been an Assistant Principal at Rodgers Forge Elementary. I know the skills I bring to Stoneleigh Elementary will continue the legacy of success which the staff, parents, and students have worked so hard to build, and rightfully take such pride in.

It is a privilege to be selected to follow Ms. Warner as the principal of Stoneleigh Elementary. The pride with which she speaks of the students and staff is inspiring. We have already held several conversations and have planned several more so that the transition is as smooth as possible for the staff, students, and families. The focus of the school will remain on providing a rich academic, intellectual, social and technological environment while fine-tuning and moving ahead with the county Blueprint 2.0 plan (academics, safety and security, communication, and organizational effectiveness).

The education of the students at Stoneleigh is my priority. I will be in hallways, classrooms, the cafeteria, and on the playground monitoring instruction and getting to know the students and staff.  Relationships are the foundation of every quality experience students, staff, and parents have at school. I hope to build strong relationships with all of you, so communication is paramount. Feel free to stop in or call to make an appointment to discuss concerns or suggestions that will make the 2014-2015 school year the best ever.

I look forward to meeting you and your kids soon and beginning my tenure as the principal of Stoneleigh Elementary.

Sincerely,

Heather L. Hollenbeck

Meet our Assistant Principal Amy Malinowski

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Hello, my name is Amy Malinowski and I am pleased to be returning to Stoneleigh Elementary School as one of the assistant principals.

I have taught fourth and fifth grade in Baltimore County Public Schools and have been an assistant principal for nine years.  I feel confident that the ideas and skills that I am bringing with me to Stoneleigh will continue to make Stoneleigh a fabulous school to work and learn.

The relationships with students, staff members, and parents are important to me because it takes a team to support the education of the students, preparing them to be college and career ready.  Please stop in to talk or call to make an appointment if you have any questions, comments, or concerns about your child(ren) and/or Stoneleigh Elementary.

I look forward to a great 2015-16 school year.

Sincerely,

Amy M. Malinowski
